We’re excited to announce a new investment aimed at enhancing our in-house quality control capabilities. The installation of an Ernst AT130 hardness testing machine allows us to test components up to 210cm in length.
This £13,000 investment marks another step in our ongoing commitment to providing fast, reliable, and fully traceable quality solutions for our customers.
While Bolt and Nut already operates several hardness testing machines, the Ernst AT130 gives us the ability to test longer components that previously had to be subcontracted. This means:
- Faster turnaround times
- Reduced reliance on third-party services
- Greater process control and traceability
- Improved efficiency for customer orders with extended length requirements
Hardness testing is a key part of our quality assurance process. It determines a material’s strength, durability, and resistance to wear, ensuring it meets the mechanical properties required for its intended application. This is particularly important in safety-critical industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Defence, and Power Generation.
The new Ernst AT130 expands our in-house capabilities and reinforces our commitment to precision and performance in every component we produce.
