Over the last few years, we’ve invested over £2 million into new machinery to strengthen our West Midlands-based operation. This is in addition to significant stock investments in both raw materials and finished components, to ensure we meet the ever-evolving demands of the energy markets we cover.
After a thorough selection process, we chose Citizen Machinery as our trusted partner and we took delivery of two Citizen Cincom L32 VIII LFV Sliding Head Lathes, followed by another two machines, bringing our total investment with Citizen to £500,000.
Each of our Cincom L32 LFV machines is designed for multi-tasking and high-volume precision, with the ability to:
- Turn, mill, drill, thread, knurl, broach, and engrave
- Operate on two spindles simultaneously
- Hold up to 30 tools
- Complete bar-to-finished component cycles without second operations
One standout innovation that’s made a real difference to our team is Citizen’s LFV (Low Frequency Vibration) technology, which offers:
- Programmable chip control
- Reduced cutting resistance
- Lower coolant pressure requirements
- Increased tool life
- Better machine temperature stability
- Ability to machine fine and delicate features
This has transformed how we approach difficult-to-machine materials, helping us maintain consistency and quality while reducing tool wear and downtime.
We also utilise Citizen’s Alkart CNC Wizard offline programming software, which has been invaluable in speeding up setup and ensuring seamless production from the outset. Combined with Citizen’s ongoing support and training, the integration of these machines has been smooth and highly effective.
Our partnership with Citizen reflects our long-term commitment to technical excellence and operational resilience. With four machines now operating at full capacity, we’re well-positioned to continue delivering the critical components our customers depend on, no matter the industry.
We thank Citizen Machinery UK for their continued support and ongoing partnership.
