CNC Programmer
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, duties of this role include:
- Programme, Set and Operate CNC Lathes with fanuc.
- Edit Fanuc controls when required using G codes.
- Learn offline programming of Fanuc.
- Set machine and tooling without probes.
- Read and understand drawings.
- Monitor machinery and report problems.
- Monitor Coolant levels and top up as required.
Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
- Experience with fastener industry and exotic materials strongly desired.
- Suitable Industry recognised qualifications in CNC programming, setting and operating or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar engineering environment at a comparable level.
- Good communication skills.
We are looking for someone with drive and determination, the ability to work to deadlines, and a quick learner. You must have good time keeping skills and attention to detail.

Quality Control Inspector
Bolt and Nut are recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join their growing team based in Coseley, Wolverhampton.
The Quality Control Inspector will work as part of the Quality team to ensure that the products manufactured and supplied by Bolt and Nut Manufacturing, meet and exceed our customers’ requirements. To maintain quality records and work fully to the guidelines set out in our quality system.
Duties to include but not limited to;
- Inspection of incoming Stock
- Inspection of goods being sent to or returned from Sub Contract Suppliers
- Inspection of machined items, to include first off, patrol and final inspection.
- Final inspection of goods, before they are released for despatch to the customer
- To provide cover and assistance to other members of the Quality Department
- All other suitable tasks that the Quality Director/Manager instructs the Inspector to carry out.
- Conduct Hardness Testing
- Assist with Calibration system maintenance
- Ensure one’s own safety and that of others.
- Cooperate with employer on OH&S.
- Do not interfere or misuse anything provided in the interest of health & safety.
- Ensure PPE is worn when required.
- Report any accident, near miss, hazard, defect or ill health immediately to employer.
Experience using thread gauges, micrometres, thread micrometres and shadowgraph is required, along with knowledge of inspection techniques and experience of maintaining quality records.
A good level of education and computer skills is needed as well as the ability to read and interpret international standards and technical drawings. A good knowledge of threaded fasteners would be an advantage.

Thread Rolling Setter / Operator
We have a position available for a Thread Rolling Setter / Operator at our manufacturing facility based in Coseley, Wolverhampton.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, duties of this role include:
- Set and Operate Thread Rolling & Centreless Grinding machines.
- Adjust machine settings and rolls when required such as roll distance and pressure.
- Replace and reset thread roll dies as required.
- Monitor machinery and report problems.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Follow quality procedures such as ISO9001 & API.
- Ensure one’s own safety and that of others.
- Cooperate with employer on OH&S training and guidance.
- Do not interfere or misuse anything provided in the interest of health & safety.
- Ensure PPE is worn when required.
- Report any accident, near miss or ill health immediately to employer.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Experience with fastener industry and exotic materials strongly desired.
- Suitable Industry recognised qualifications in thread rolling setting/operating or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar engineering environment at a comparable level.
- Experience in measurements with micrometre and thread gauge.
You must have a natural drive and determination as well as the ability to work to deadlines and learn quickly. Attention to detail is important as well as good time keeping skills.
