Capstan Lathe Setter Operator

BNML are currently recruiting a Capstan Lathe Setter Operator to join their team based in the West Midlands.

We are looking for someone who has the skills and experience to operate Landis Die Heads and well as experience with drilling and broaching components.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

  • Set and Operate Capstan Lathe Safely and Effectively.
  • Monitor Machinery and Report Problems.
  • Monitor Coolant Levels and Top up as required.
  • Ensure one’s own safety and that of others.
  • Cooperate with employer on OH&S training and guidance.
  • Do not interfere or misuse anything provided in the interest of health & safety.
  • Ensure PPE is worn when required.
  • Report any accident, near miss or ill health immediately to employer.

Essential Requirements

  • Two years’ experience in Fastener Industry or Recognised Qualification at level 2 or above.
  • Read and Understand Engineering Drawings.
  • Set and Operate Tangi-Flow Roller Box Attachment.
  • Set and Operate Fette heads.
  • Set and Operate Coventry Die Heads.
  • Experience with Grinding and Forming tooling
  • Experience with Exotic Materials (Inconel, Titanium, etc).
  • Knowledge of Inspection Techniques and Measuring Equipment.
  • Good communication skills.

CNC Programmer

Bolt and Nut are currently recruiting an experienced CNC Programmer to join our fast-growing team based in Coseley, Wolverhampon.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Lathes with fanuc.
  • Editing Fanuc controls when required using G codes.
  • Learning offline programming of Fanuc.
  • Setting machine and tooling without probes.
  • Reading and understand drawings.
  • Monitoring machinery and report problems.
  • Monitoring Coolant levels and top up as required.

We are looking for someone who ideally has experience with fastener industry and exotic materials.

You should also have suitable Industry recognised qualifications in CNC programming, setting and operating or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar engineering environment at a comparable level.
